Happy MANIC MONDAY! Flowers/Florals Sales still going on and it's Pick Your MM Freebie Week!

Happy MANIC MONDAY to you all!  Hope you all had a great weekend!  Mine was a full one!  Watching the yard get mowed, watching the garden get watered, watching the breakfast get made, watching the dog get a bath, watching the bird feeder get filled.....lots of watching,,,,made me tired! :-)  But all that watching did give me a chance to do a bit of picture taking and drawing/sketching and what not!

So, I sent some of my images over to the Fabulous Stef.  More shaded florals.....and well, there was one that um, she had to really look at to determine what it was.  So, I thought, self, why don't you put it up, and have your customers/readers give it a go and see if they like it, and if they like it, name it, and then have a little giveaway!  So, Stef thought that was a great idea!  Great minds and all that you know!  So before we get to the Freebie for the week, here is a peek at the drawing.  And here is how the giveaway will go.  Post a comment on this post with the following: What is it?, A good Name for it,  Like/don't like, why if you don't like (it is OK, I never take it it market research :-), and what you would name it.  On Saturday, I will compile the suggestions (the Likes and the Don't Likes, no one is excluded for their opinion!)  and pull one winner from a hat....Sir Markus will do the drawing to keep it fair, and that person will win the entire new set of Floral Border Stamps.  I'm in the process of finishing up the last set as I type this so it will make its debut sometime this week in a mid week  post.  So, without further yakking, here it is:

Let me know what you think!

Now a bit of eye candy!

Here is a card that was done by Laura Boetto, that lovely Editor over at Papers and Pixels, using one of my floral frame images!  She said this was a quickie, and if it is, I can't wait to see it after a "proper" working up! :-)

I think it is simply stunning! Laura, thank you for sharing this with me!   Love love love your work!  To see more of Laura's work, and the work of some really talented artists, why  not subscribe to Papers and Pixels and be treated each and every month to great tutorials, eyecandy, great interviews, tips, and techniques!  It is a great magazine for all types of crafters!

Next item of business!  I try to have a category sale every week, and I thought it would be fun for you all to pick the next sale category (which will begin Next Monday, along with the Flowers/Florals category sale that runs all month.)  Here is where I need your help!  If you grab the Manic Monday Freebie, put a comment on the invoice, (as a lot of  you already do! And I must say Thank you so much for that!), and tell me what category you would like to see on sale for 25% off.  The category with the greatest number of votes will be the next Sale Category.

New Image for Father's Day!
Here is a snappy card front for Dad on his special day!  Men are so difficult to make cards and images for soooo, I came up with this!

I like it, Mark liked it, and I am sure my Dad will love it!  You can find it under Father's Day Category and also under New Products in the shop!

Now I bet  you are ready for your Manic Monday Freebie!  I have to say that I had hoped to have a second Father's Day image ready for you, but dang it all, I got this terrible blister on my drawing hand and now I cant even move my finger!  So this week I am letting you choose your FREEBIE!  That's Always Fun! Your MANIC MONDAY freebie coupon code is MMAPR23.  It is worth $3.00.  So pick away!  This coupon will be valid until Saturday Night at Midnight E.S.T!

This week has been stressful on Mark and I and I do apologize for not having the weekly funny.  With the coal business getting scary we are both scared for our jobs!  But we keep plugging away and will come through this will flying colors!  We are strong and we take care of each other!  So, instead of a funny this week, and I don't mean to offend anyone in any manner, but think about all the Coal Miners that are on the edge of losing their jobs in this field when you turn on your lights, computer, tv, or other device that uses electricity.  73% of the Nation gets it's electricity from Coal, and most of that coal is mined here in SE Kentucky!  Now I know it may not be politically or environmentally correct to say that Coal is important, but for now, it is what we use to power our lives and feed our children.  I may lose a customer or two, our jobs and our entire county are fed by the Coal Fields, and I don't mind saying it.  Ok, Im off the box now.

I hope you all have a fabulous week!  Ill be here drawing, working, and generally doing what a Floppy Latte does during the week.....consuming lots and lots of coffee!
Catch you on the Flip,

  1. Ok, it looks like flowers, lol, maybe can be called ........'The Eight Lost Sisters'............., lol seeing that their branch broke off!!
I like, but would like to have a little more detail to the inside, maybe stems in dif sizes ?
    lotsa luv

  2. It looks like a stem of Foxglove flowers. I do like it but I think the flowers should be closer together on the stem. Maybe a good name would be "Foxy Floxglove". Have a great week!!

  3. Forgot to tell you thank you for the to look at all your beautiful drawings and choose one.

  4. Beautiful flower border. Not sure what kind of flowers. Maybe large bluebells? Thanks so much for the freebie. You are too generous! Hope your blister heals quickly!

  5. Hi Jessica ~ I agree with Donna ... I think they look like Bluebells. Not terribly original, but "Bluebell Border" seems to roll off my tongue easily (or Bella Bleu Border for a French twist). I'm off to look through all your lovely drawings to pick the freebie ... always so difficult to pick one as I love them all! Thanks so much.
    ~ Carol B. ~

  6. They look like Foxglove to me but that doesn't make a lot of sense because foxglove don't grow that way, they grow upright and the bells hand down...... We don't have Bluebells in the Pacific NW so I don't know what they look like.

  7. I'm so glad that I found your site! I thought your border of flowers was really cute and I thought it looked like bluebells. So I would have called it the "fairy flower border" You often find fairy design with bluebells... BTW you have gained a new follower.

  8. Hi - I chose your "Happy Birthday Sally" digi. She is sooooo stinkin' cute! I make birthday cards for the kids in my church so she will come in real handy and I'm sure the kids will love her too. See you're a part of God's kingdom - know it or not!!! TY so much for letting us pick our own freebie! That was awesome! I love your site and your digis! Again, TY so much! :)

  9. Hi Jess: I'm guessing they're bluebells (I don't know what foxglove looks like). I don't dislike it, I guess it wouldn't be a 'must have' - now, that being said, if Stef did up a sample I'd probably be first in line! Bella's Bluebells for a name ?!

  10. My first thought was Lily of the Valley or maybe Foxgloves. I think they would be wonderful in shades of purple! BlueBells would be another guess as they do hang from the stems. Way to pass YOUR stress on to me ... I always love when you let us choose .. but there are always way to many decisions. Thank You! My thoughts will be with your family and the miners families also.

  11. Cute flowers, what about Bluebell Ringers for a name! Thanks for the freebie!

  12. Foxgloves, like the beautiful pinks that my grandmother grew. Brings back memories! Thanks for the freebie...

  13. I think they are foxgloves, but we don't see them often in Australia. The inner pattern reminds me of my toad lily (I'll have a picture on my blog later on). I LOVE the image as it is, and I would name them "Mottled Belles". I also nabbed a freebie, but forgot to comment on the order! thank you so much... I had a hard time choosing one.
Thanks so much, and keep sharing your art!
    hugs and blessings,

  14. I think they're foxgloves, but what threw me was that foxgloves grow in an upright manner and the "gloves" hang down. I notice that other folks think they're bluebells. Don't think that bluebells have that mottling inside the flower throat, but what the heck do I know?? For a name how about Foxy Fancies? Off to pick out my freebie, that's gonna be tough! Thanks

  15. FoxGlove flowers, I love them. I buy them every year in either the lavendar or pink. I Love the delicate white inside. Im not much for conventional names so I call them Bells!
Name..... How about Fancy Bells or elegant bells. This flower is elegant. thanks for a great blog!

  16. Foxgloves!(But sideways, as Rufus said). So pretty and they remind me of an English cottage garden! It is the plant that the heart medication, digitalis, is derived from. How about calling them "Heart's Ease"?

  17. No idea of the name of the flowers... they look to me as the blue bell ones, but a little bigger :)
    Thanks for the freebie!

  18. I like the new floral stem. It will make a great border to a layout, or a card were you want a poem on it. I think it is beautiful! You could call it Floral Bells, or Flora Bell Flowers.
Thank you for the freebie. I love all your designs. Edwina Brown

  19. I think the new flowers are fox glove. In my imaginary world, they are all meeting together like birds on a power line :) MY email is luckyUNDERSCORErupaATyahooDOTcom

  20. I don't know what they are, but they are definately beautiful. Little bells all in a row!

  21. These are foxglove! One of my favorite flowers and ever so difficult to grow in our soil. Actually they grow vertical - but I think horizontal makes a lovely card with super eye appeal. BTW foxglove was first used to treat heart patients with. :) Linda

And I dearly love Laura's card - that is out of this world!!!!

  22. nice posting.. thanks for sharing..

Comments make me happy! Thanks for your comments!
